That doesnt apply just for PB or CDPR ofc. Once you give them your money, these companies don't give a f about you. How did that turn out again ?ĭont get me wrong I want this game to be good as well, just pointing out that pre -orders do not benefit consumers at all and in fact they might even backfire.Ībsolutely. People used the exact same argument about Cyberpunk. One being Larian, Piranha Bytes and.maybe one more.Īll companies were "constant" at some point, until they weren't. In my list of trusted devs i probably have 2-3. But generally preordering is not something i would advise for. As long as the dev treats the customer/player well and there is an unspoken good relationship between the two parties,i don't see why not to preorder. The same it was with CDPR until they lost their reputation, no more preorders or trust for them. Some devs who earned their reputation deserve an "innocent until proven *otherwise*" treatment. They've been constant with every release, you know what you get.A great RPG with a janky combat system,no mtx or other bs. That doesnt apply just for PB or CDPR ofc.īecause it's Piranha Bytes. This encourages companies to sell "trailers" instead of games. Why would someone spend money, on a product that is not even finished yet. Even if they include some kind of bonus or pre-load you can easily do it a day or two before release. There is literally no reason to pre order. This game was definitely a surprise, honestly thought the first game may not have generated enough buzz. Originally posted by NormireX:Yeah waiting for the big updates before I play it again.
