![]() ![]() To be clear, I think it's a great game with a TON of content and the 1-40 loop I think is far better than the first game's. Still highly recommend picking it up, though. ![]() On the PVP side, it's been a complete disaster compared to the first. Ultimately, on the PVE side, it didn't really deliver with fresh, interesting and repeatable content (the raids were fun, but, you'll always get a vocal crowd talking about how it's for 1% of the player base).even when the player base was largely just asking for modified version of Survival as the saviour, we've always gotten a series of one-and-done types of content, which isn't great for a looter shooter. PVP has been completely abandoned and is pretty much unanimously agreed to be considerably worse than the first game's Dark Zone, and doesn't have equivalents of Last Stand or Survival. It launched in a really poor state, and while they've fixed some things, it's mostly been abandoned by the hardcore endgame crowd. The devs did add a repeatable mode recently, called the Summit, that sounded like a dream on paper (100 floors of a skyscraper), but ultimately ended up pretty drab looking and less efficient to farm (because regardless of difficulty, it's filled mostly with red and purple bar enemies). Outside of one, missions just aren't as loot efficient as other activities. They are excellently designed on a first run through, but for most players, there was little reason to play missions afterwards, beyond when arbitrarily needing to to complete a weekly seasonal activity. The DLC largely focused this time around on a series of narrative missions, as opposed to repeatable content like Survival/Underground and Resistance. It was in the Top 10 selling games of the year, but UBI considered it a disappointment in that respect (which seems nuts).īut there's no getting around that the community was hoping for a lot more from the post-launch support.feeling that, while there's been a lot of balance updates, additional checklist activities, etc., none of it has really addressed the areas that are really needed. KitGuru Says: It has been a while since I last jumped into The Division 2, but this update is sounding promising, especially for console players.Click to shrink. To be clear, I think it's a great game with a TON of content and the 1-40 loop I think is far better than the first game's. This update also kicks off The Division 2's cross-over event with Resident Evil, which will allow players to earn Resident Evil cosmetic gear for their character. This update will include enhancements for the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles, allowing those systems to run it at 4K and 60 frames per second.Īside from next-gen performance and graphical enhancements, this update will also bring a rebalance to the optimisation station and how much it costs to re-roll gear stats. In a Twitter thread, Ubisoft Community Developer, Johan, revealed that The Division 2's 12.1 update will be arriving on the 2nd of February. While there won't be a ‘State of the Game' update this week, The Division 2's next big update is coming in February, which includes enhancements for the next-gen consoles. The developers behind The Division 2 have been a bit quiet over the last few months but it looks like the game is going to start 2021 off strong.
